The Year 2 children had a fantastic visit on Thursday to the Barbican Centre. They travelled by tube (which was very exciting). During their time at the Barbican, the children explored space and watched a beautiful performance by The London Symphony Orchestra. The children enjoyed celebrating the creativity and imagination that the Centre represented. Afterwards, they had lunch on the lakeside terrace. The children listened with concentration to famous pieces of classical music. They joined in confidently with some songs that they had learnt in class, these were specially composed for the section of the concert called Stan and Mable and the Race for Space.
