In June, the call went out for volunteers to help improve several areas of our outdoor environment. The response from our families was amazing and on Saturday 15th July we held our first Churchfields Infants’ Community Day.  Volunteers helped to dig, clear weeds and brambles, paint a fence and the nursery playhouse, bake, cook and support the school with improvements that will mean so much to the children.   We, and they, cannot thank you enough for lending your time, skills and energy to the day.  We are part of a brilliant and thriving community and it was an amazing day to be part of.  We hope you are as proud of the results as we are.

After the summer we plan to hold another event as there were a number of you who were very interested to help but unavailable on this occasion. Mrs Pert has managed to secure some funding so we can plant bulbs with the children and also some trees. We also need a second coat of paint on the fence.
